Renewal of SCS Indoor AdvantageTM Gold Certification for
Indoor Air Quality
Scientific Certification Systems(SCS) has renewed the Indoor AdvantageTM Gold certification for indoor air quality of Eagle® windows and doors. Indoor air quality is an important issue as many people spend as much as 90% of their time indoors, either at home, work or school. Architects, builders and consumers are increasingly interested in making sure that what goes into a building doesn’t degrade the indoor air quality or is harmful to the environment. On April 22, 2010, the new EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Lead; Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule is scheduled to take effect. The rule applies to all persons who are paid to perform renovation, repair and painting projects where painted surfaces are disturbed in pre-1978 housing, child-care facilities and schools where lead paint is present. Dubuque, IA (2010) — Eagle Window & Door, ever a leader in innovation, is excited to be the first window company to offer integrated security sensors – VeriLock™ Integrated Security Sensors - into Eagle® window and door products.
VeriLock wireless security sensors, a patent-pending technology, are integrated into select Eagle window and door products, creating the basis for a complete security system*. Eagle’s industry-leading security sensors provide a competitive advantage to its dealers, and a discreet security sensor to its customers - as no other window and door manufacturer offers any type of security sensors – visible or integrated.
Not only is Eagle Window & Door the first window company to offer any type of built-in security sensors, they are also the first to offer a locked/unlocked notification functionality*, a feature other security sensors do not have. And since the sensors are Eagle’s own innovation and built into the products’ design, they eliminate the need for unsightly wires or visible sensors.* Other systems require components that can affect the integrity of the product design, impacting product warranties.
VeriLock integrated security sensors are appropriate for consideration in projects including single-family residential dwellings, multiple-unit light commercial dwellings, such as assisted-living complexes, and remodel/replacement projects.
Eagle Window & Door, an Andersen Company, manufactures a complete line of high quality aluminum-clad windows and doors. Eagle focuses exclusively on high-end residential (new and remodel) and commercial construction. Eagle customers have the opportunity to create projects using 50 Eagle Complimentary Colors™ at no additional cost, 9 wood species and 11 interior finishes - plus divided lights, between-glass blinds and shades, trim and finishing details and beautiful glass selections. The design flexibility is amazing! Eagle has been handcrafting premium windows and doors for over thirty years.
