Environmental Responsibility
It is more essential than ever that we all do our part to protect the environment. While environmental responsibility may be new to some, at Eagle, making sure our manufacturing decisions have a positive impact on the environment is nothing new. We've been responsible in the past and we will continue to be responsible in the future.

Taking an Active Role

Preserving Nature
To protect our natural resources, Eagle uses wood harvested from managed forests and leverages engineered wood technology whenever possible - we use finger-jointed wood and laminated veneer lumber, both of which use wood efficiently and result in superior performance. In addition, we use water-based finishes, which are far better for the environment than oil-based products.
Reducing Waste
Eagle recycles whenever possible - office paper, sawdust, scrap aluminum, paints and solvents. Our electrostatic paint system attracts the paint to the aluminum, creating much less waste. And we keep packaging to a minimum to reduce construction debris.

Using Recycled Materials
Eagle cladding contains recycled aluminum, which requires much less energy to process than virgin aluminum. In addition, our glass utilizes recycled cullet (broken glass), which cuts tons of landfill waste each year.
Conserving Energy
Eagle technology and design innovation creates greater energy efficiency in all of our products. Our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass provides superior thermal protection and significantly reduces heating and cooling requirements. Combined with weather-tight frames, sashes and seals, Eagle windows and doors play an important role in energy conservation.

Indoor Air Quality
Eagle® windows and doors have recently received Scientific Certification Systems® (SCS) Indoor Advantage Gold certification for indoor air quality. Indoor air quality is an important issue because many people spend as much as 90% of their time indoors, either at home, work or school. This level of certification meets North America's strictest indoor air emission criteria, the California Section 01350 Specification.
